Personnel Committee - Firearms Project

The Commercial Agents in conjunction with the SAI and a specially formed working party have finalised the training requirements for both the initial and refresher training as it pertains to firearms training in Western Australia.

We now have a clear requirement that details the skill and knowledge required to conduct firearms training on behalf of a registered training provider as well as a very clear set of standards to be met by the students. These standards will be audited by officers from the commercial agents division and assistance will be provided by the training accreditation council if required.
